The Indiana Jones franchise was  a part of all of our childhoods, as we followed Dr. Henry Walton Jones Jr as he risked his life through jungle, caves and, mountains for treasure. These series of adventures have been enjoyed by families all over the world since it’s inception in 1981. Well, Indy fans, we can reveal that the fifth film is on it’s way.

It’s been more than 10 years since we saw the fourth film, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” was released into cinemas and, after years of rumours, details have emerged for the next feature. Indiana Jones 5 was originally set to begin production in April 2019 but, following complications with the script, it was eventually delayed. According to a recent social media post from Discussing Films, it has been announced that director Steven Spielberg will be “eyeing” to begin filming in London in 2020.

 

Harrison Ford, nearing 77 years of age, will reprise the role of Indiana Jones. Disney confirmed Ford’s involvement with chairman Alan Horn stating:

“Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can’t wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019. It’s rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven.”
